華航企業工會成員超過1萬多人，共有6個分會，總公司各單位、航務處、訓練中心空服處、空品處、修護工廠、台北分公司、地勤服務處、台貨中心、高雄分公司，其中空服處、空品處；依照工會粗估若有1/3請假，會造成機場不小影響，資深管理者表示，機場運輸可能會癱瘓1/3。

但「7月1日依法請假」話題，已在臉書上形成不同論戰，有地勤在臉書中指出，「經歷了桃機淹水、空服合法罷工，每一次的華航地勤們都選擇了不缺席，這次也不例外」，「請理智看待資方工會自行宣布的活動」，也希望「讓你們身邊要搭飛機的人放心吧，我願意出勤七月一日當日櫃檯工作」。
